Windshield Repair

Car Windshield Repair

Windshield repairIn cases of minor damage to your windshield, a windshield repair- instead of a full windshield replacement - can often restore the integrity of the glass. The auto glass technician injects a resin-based bonding agent into the damaged area. This stops the windshield from cracking further and prevents the damage from spreading. Once a windshield repair is complete, the driver's view is no longer impaired by the damage (if you look closely, you may be able to detect some residual scarring where the glass was filled with the bonding agent). Windshield repairs are not done for cosmetic reasons, only to structuralize your windshield.

Windshield repairs are less expensive and take less time than a full windshield replacement, often less than 30 minutes. They are covered by most insurance companies. In fact, many insurance companies will waive the deductible if the windshield can simply be repaired instead of replaced.

Safety will never be compromised for cost and convenience, so if there is any question whether a windshield should be repaired or replaced, both the insurance company and TeleGlass National will insist on a windshield replacement. However, when a windshield can be repaired, you'll save money and you can drive the car almost right away.

Green Windshield RepairWindshield repair is eco-friendly as the auto glass does not end up in a landfill.  If you are looking for a “green” option for your windshield damage, a windshield repair is a great alternative to windshield replacement.
